Asta Muhammad: Deputy Commissioner Jalil Ahmed led a meeting to discuss the transition of electric tube wells to solar systems in Asta Muhammad district, aligning with broader agricultural stabilization efforts directed by the Chief Secretary of Balochistan.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting saw participation from key local officials including SHOs, SDO Kesco, the Deputy Director of Agriculture, members of the Zamindar Action Committee, Water Management representatives, and other department officers. The agenda focused on the registration and conversion of legally-operating electric lift tube wells to solar power. Deputy Commissioner Ahmed emphasized the commitment of both federal and provincial governments to bolster the agricultural sector. He noted that while there are currently no tube wells in Asta Muhammad district, a comprehensive list of all registered electric lift tube wells will be finalized and submitted within seven days for further administrative action.
