Karachi: In a recent development, BMA Capital Management Limited has announced the permanent closure of its branch office located at Karachi. The office will cease operations from Thursday, December 26, 2024.
The closure notice, which was mandated by clause No. 22.9(a)(vi) of the PSX regulations, was published in accordance with PSX’s stringent requirements for branch office closures. BMA Capital Management Limited has adhered to these protocols by publishing notifications in two major newspapers in both English and Urdu on October 8, 2024, fulfilling all regulatory obligations outlined by the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), BMA Capital Management Limited is a holder of the Trading Right Entitlement Certificate (TREC #022). The decision to close the branch office was communicated via a formal notice to PSX, with Hammad Ur Rehman, Head of Compliance at BMA Capital, signing off on the compliance with the regulatory requirements.
The company assures that despite the closure, all client services previously handled by the branch will be seamlessly transitioned to their head office located at Karachi. BMA Capital has already informed all related clients and the PSX about the transition plans to ensure that there is no disruption in services.
