Islamabad: The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has approved two point eight billion rupees for immunization of over eight million children against vaccine-preventable diseases.

According to Radio Pakistan, the ECC, which met in Islamabad today with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb in the chair, allowed three hundred six million rupees in favour of the Airports Security Force and two billion rupees for the establishment of Daanish School, Kuri, Islamabad, and the Prime Minister's Youth Skill Development Programme under NAVTTC to enhance youth employability.

The committee also approved a summary regarding amendments to the Import Policy Order (IPO), 2022 for the import of Areca nut (betel nut), a widely consumed commodity with significant commercial importance in the domestic market.
