Quetta, Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandukhel has called for the adoption of modern methods over traditional ones in managing the financial and administrative affairs of public sector universities in Balochistan to achieve self-sufficiency. He emphasized the need for a comprehensive policy to safeguard these institutions from future financial crises and ensure the timely payment of salaries.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the Governor expressed these views in a meeting at Governor House with Provincial Education Minister Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani and Vice Chancellors Prof. Dr. Dost Baloch, Dr. Abdul Malik Tareen, and Dr. John Muhammad Baloch. He stressed the importance of fostering a healthy educational environment and committed to concrete measures to enhance the quality of higher education. Mandukhel also noted that the challenges faced by universities could be effectively addressed through the diligent efforts of university officials and expert advice.
