Govt Committed to Protect Interests of Consumers: Dar

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring price stability, maintaining adequate supplies of essential commodities, and protecting consumer interests across the country. He made these remarks while chairing a meeting of the committee tasked with reviewing the sugar availability and pricing situation in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the committee examined the current availability of sugar in the market. It assessed stock positions and analyzed trends in market prices to ensure that consumers are not adversely affected by fluctuations. The government’s proactive approach aims to address any potential shortages and stabilize prices to safeguard consumer interests effectively.
