Inaugural Pakistan-Turkiye-Azerbaijan Trilateral Summit Held in Astana

Astana: Leaders from Pakistan, Turkiye, and Azerbaijan convened for the inaugural session of the Pakistan-Turkiye-Azerbaijan Trilateral Summit on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, marking a significant step in collaborative relations among the three nations.

According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, alongside President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkiye and President Ilham Heydar Aliyev of Azerbaijan, expressed enthusiasm for the summit’s potential to enhance multifaceted partnerships. The Prime Minister highlighted the deep-rooted cultural, historical, and religious ties that bind the three countries and underscored the importance of expanding cooperation across various sectors, including economic, energy, tourism, cultural, educational, technology and innovation, healthcare, and environmental cooperation. He proposed the establishment of tripartite institutional mechanisms to boost economic and investment relations and emphasized the robust potential for collaboration in culture, tourism, academia, and science and technology, building on a history of trilateral consultations.
