A police personnel was martyred and two others injured when unknown terrorists opened fire on a police check post near an archaeological site in Takht Bhai area of district Mardan today.According to police, the injured have been shifted to Mardan Medical Complex.Police have launched a search operation in the area to arrest the culprits.Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of police personnel.In a statement issued in Peshawar today, he prayed for the departed soul and early recovery of the injured.Faisal Karim Kundi said police have rendered matchless sacrifices in the war against terror.Source: Radio Pakistan
