Islamabad: Pakistan and Türkiye have pledged to enhance their collaboration on issues of religious harmony and employment opportunities, following a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, and Turkish Ambassador Irfan Nazir Oglu. The discussions took place in Islamabad and centered on proposals to foster mutual respect for humanity and increase job prospects for Pakistani workers in Türkiye.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting underscored the shared perspectives of the two countries on regional and global affairs. Both nations have consistently supported each other at international forums, reinforcing their brotherly ties.
Ambassador Oglu conveyed condolences for the Pakistani lives lost in the recent Morocco boat tragedy. He emphasized Türkiye’s commitment to opening more avenues for skilled Pakistani workers, reflecting a mutual interest in strengthening bilateral relations through increased employment opportunities.
