Islamabad: Pakistan and the World Health Organization have agreed to accelerate the fight against Hepatitis C. The agreement was reached during a meeting between Minister for Health Syed Mustafa Kamal and WHO Representative in Pakistan Dr. Dapeng Luo.
According to Radio Pakistan, Mustafa Kamal reaffirmed his ministry’s commitment to intensify efforts in eliminating Hepatitis C, in collaboration with the World Health Organization. He emphasized that the entire team of the Health Ministry will work tirelessly to achieve this goal, ensuring that no effort is spared in reaching their target.
Speaking at the meeting, the WHO Representative in Pakistan reiterated his organization’s full support for Pakistan’s efforts to combat the disease. This includes backing the Prime Minister’s National Programme for the Elimination of Hepatitis C Infection.
