Islamabad: In a strategic move to enhance economic growth, Pakistan is setting up Special Economic Zones (SEZs), aimed at promoting investment within the country. Minister for Industries and Production, Rana Tanveer Hussain, discussed this initiative during a meeting with a delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Tanveer highlighted the government’s focus on these zones as a critical step towards bolstering Pakistan’s economic landscape. The SEZs are intended to attract both domestic and international investors by offering favorable business conditions and incentives.
During the meeting, the Minister also emphasized the importance of increasing exports to strengthen the economy and assured that the government is actively working to resolve the challenges faced by the industrial sector. This initiative is part of a broader economic strategy to enhance productivity and competitiveness in the global market.
