Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has praised the efforts of the government's economic team for the successful preparation and presentation of the federal budget.
According to Radio Pakistan, in a statement, he said that the preparation of a balanced, people-friendly, and growth-oriented budget under the prevailing economic conditions reflects the hard work, professional competence, and close coordination. The Prime Minister particularly commended the contributions of Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb, Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema, Minister of State for Finance Bilal Azhar Kayani, Adviser to the Prime Minister Syed Tauqir Shah, Finance Secretary Imdad Ullah Bosal, Chairman Federal Board of Revenue Rashid Mahmood Langrial, as well as officers and experts of the Ministry of Finance, FBR, Planning Division, and other relevant institutions.
He stated that the economic team has prepared a budget keeping in view the national interest, which would help achieve the objectives of economic stability, fiscal discipline, promotion of investment, and public welfare. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the entire economic team would continue working with the same dedication and resolve for the country's economic growth and prosperity.
