Lahore: Punjab Government has decided to start solar panel manufacturing in Lahore in collaboration with China. The agreement to this effect was reached during a meeting between Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Chinese leading business organization Sundar Green Group in Lahore today.
According to Radio Pakistan, Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan is a large solar market and noted that the shift toward solar energy is increasing due to the ongoing energy crisis. This collaboration is expected to enhance the solar energy capacity and address the energy shortages in the region.
In addition to this initiative, the Punjab Government has also signed an agreement with the Chinese Kunlun Group to provide advanced vocational and industrial training to fifty thousand students in China. This move aims to equip the local workforce with the necessary skills to thrive in evolving industrial sectors, further strengthening the economic ties between Pakistan and China.
