Karachi: The United Business Group (UBG) has called for a global boycott of Indian products, urging Muslims worldwide to stand in solidarity with Pakistan. The group’s leadership dismissed recent threats from the Indian government as inconsequential and encouraged Pakistani importers to cease the importation of Indian goods, even those indirectly acquired.
Zubair Tufail, President of UBG, alongside Secretary General Hanif Gohar, Central Spokesperson Gulzar Firoz, and Core Committee Member Malik Khuda Bakhsh, accused India of diverting global attention from its activities in Kashmir by making baseless accusations against Pakistan. They asserted that international awareness of India’s actions is increasing.
The UBG leaders expressed confidence that the Pakistani populace remains unfazed by Indian threats, highlighting the unity between the business community, the public, and the Pakistan Armed Forces. They warned that any aggressive steps by India would lead to serious repercussions.
Tufail reiterated the nation’s unwavering support for its military and cautioned India against misjudging Pakistan’s resolve. He criticized India’s water policies, emphasizing that Pakistan would not accept any unilateral suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, and promised a strong response to any perceived aggression from the Indian government.
The statement further claimed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is isolating India internationally, and any war initiated by India would result in severe consequences. The UBG praised Pakistan’s firm response to recent Indian actions, asserting that it has garnered nationwide backing for protecting the country’s sovereignty.
