Value-Added Exports Vital to Boost Pakistan’s Global Position

Sialkot: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has stressed the need to promote value-added exports to strengthen Pakistan's position in global markets. Addressing the inauguration ceremony of a water treatment plant at the Sialkot Tannery Zone today, he emphasized the crucial role of enhancing export quality to improve the country's economic standing.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister highlighted that the economic progress Pakistan has seen is the result of the untiring efforts of its business community, entrepreneurs, and exporters. He commended the dedication of these groups in driving the nation's development forward.

He particularly praised Sialkot's business community for their role in transforming the city into a leading export hub. Sialkot's reputation extends both nationally and internationally, thanks to the industry's commitment to quality and innovation.

The Minister noted that Sialkot's manufacturing sector, especially its sports goods industry, is recognized worldwide. This recognition, he asserted, reflects the strength and excellence of local industry, further underscoring the importance of adding value to exports to compete effectively on the global stage.
