Lahore: The Punjab government has banned drone flying in open spaces across the province. This decision aims to regulate the use of drones and ensure security in the region.
According to Radio Pakistan, a spokesperson for the Punjab Home Department stated that the limited use of small drones is permitted during indoor events held in halls and marquees. This exception allows for controlled drone usage under specific conditions, ensuring that events can utilize drone technology without compromising safety.
Intelligence and law enforcement agencies are exempted from the restrictions, allowing them to continue their operations without any hindrance from the new regulations. This exemption acknowledges the importance of drones in security and surveillance tasks conducted by these agencies.
